Rick, do you know the real cause and the apparent remedy that did the trick?

For me, the FBSL help file has always looked suspicious. For example, on my computer, if I am not connected to the net, launching the FBSL help file always brings about the connect dialog, and this annoys me a lot when I am sure I want to work stand-alone (I often close rarely used windows even though I'm using the dual-monitor system)...

What I got is what the screen shot shows.
I'm using a wireless router and when this error occurred there were some problems with my cable, they have been working on it and I haven't had the error since.

For the record I have never had any problem before with the FBSL help file, that is the first time that has happened to me.

The sort of trouble you were experiencing could happen just because some part of the embedded XSL stylesheet was unreadable or contained an invalid tag or entry. This can also happen with an uncompiled set of constituent XML/HTML files when the XSL stylesheet is missing completely at the specified location. Perhaps some wireless glitch caused the trouble.

But what causes my persistent connect dialogs, I wonder?!

I remember that this was because the help file tries to connect to paypal to load some icon

OK then I'll recompile me a custom build of the help file to get rid of the irritating beggar's icon.... :D

Thanks for the tip! :D
