UltraEdit Highlighting for FBSL

Unread postby Stefan Schnell » Sat Nov 01, 2014 10:03 am

Hello community,

for many programming languages I use UltraEdit. I can't find e.g. here a highlighting defintion file for FBSL. So I create my own, which I enclose as an attachment.

Cheers
Stefan

Thanks for this addition, Stefan! I'm sure somebody would be glad to use it in their everyday work.

As for me, I prefer to use Eclecta because:

1. It highlights three languages simultaneously in one script: FBSL's BASIC, assembly, and C.

2. It highlights the entire set of WinAPI's (more than 2,100 of them) automatically preloaded by FBSL on launching.

3. It loads automatically multiply nested include files referred to in the main script.

4. It can format BASIC, assembly, and C code in realtime line per line or auto-reformat the entire multi-language script in one go revealing a good deal of syntactical errors and typos that would otherwise render the script inoperative.

5. It provides access to FBSL's three main help files.

But of course it's only my own personal preference. :)

"Je suis un vieux soldat, madame, et je ne connais pas les mots d'amour."
"Ich bin ein alter Soldat, gnädige Frau, und ich weiß nicht die Worte der Liebe."

Hello Mike,

thanks for your reply.

In the next version I will integrate C and Assembler highlights also. The three help files are integrated in the toolbar. In any other point there is no chance to reach the same result. But there is one advantage, one editor for all, or a lot of, languages.

Cheers

Hello community,

here an actualized highlighting file for UltraEdit and a highlighting file which encloses FBSL, x86 Assembler and C syntax.

Cheers
